Rochester's longest running ethnic radio program - Carosello Italiano has been on the air since 1967. Host Joseph Capogreco brings news direct from Italy, sports highlights, music requests, current events, community happenings, trivia contests, stories and conversation each Sunday from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon.
Carosello Italiano is conducted in Italian and English. Weekly quizzes and special features keep loyal groups of listeners tuned in for the entire three hour broadcast, and on-demand replays are available every week on the show’s website at www.italiancarousel.net.
A retired Rochester teacher, Joe's love of the Italian language and culture becomes very apparent as you hear the LIVE weekly broadcasts. Joe has been active in the community throughout his years in broadcasting, including terms as president & other offices at various Italian-American organizations, as well as serving as president of the Penfield-Perinton Kiwanis in 2000. Joe is a fixture at many events important to Rochester's formidable Italian-American community including Rochester Raging Rhinos soccer matches & Sunday Brunch at Mario's Via Abruzzi.
